DataLink Viewer 2008 (using Crystal Reorts 2008 runtime components) has entered testing (July 1, 2008). Among other key enhancements it:
a) provides a new intuitive and customizable grid interface for arranging previously opened reports, b) remembers the last export format, folder, and file name for each report,
c) adds useful preview toolbar buttons (e.g., quick-print to default printer ) and shortcut-keys, and
d) reduces memory requirements compared to other viewers and even Crystal.

A new version (5.7001) of DataLink Viewer has been released (February 26, 2008). Among other things, it adds an option to the Integrated Authentication functionality allowing an administrator to securely share integrated authentication information with any other user who successfully logged in to the same machine.
- A new version (5.8001) of Visual CUT has been released (November 25, 2007). Among other things, it adds the ability to move/clone report settings.

A new version (5.7001) of Visual CUT has been released (September 27, 2007). Among other things, it adds a text files merge cabability, enhances PDF processing options related to merging, bookmarks, page numbers, and tables of content, and adds excel processing options such as print setup directives (e.g., fit to 1 page), auto-filter, and auto-fit column and row sizes.

A new version (5.6001) of DataLink Viewer has been released (September 24, 2007). Among other things, it adds selective parameter refresh functionality (users don't have to provide all parameter values when refreshing a report) and the Crystal XI version is now upgraded to XI R2 (Crystal XI Release 2).

A new version (5.6001) of Visual CUT has been released (March 31, 2007). Among other things, it adds support for other character sets in email messages (for example, allowing chinese characters using the big5 character set),
custom email headers, faster export and email bursting, faster processing of pdf files, ability to process extremely large pdf files, button to automate the process of inserting the command line into a new/existing batch file, ability to specify multiple printer destination in a text file, ability to merge dynamically specified (controlled via a Crystal field/formula) multi-page TIFF files into pdf files (a typical use scenario is to combine scanned images of signed delivery document into bursted/exported pdf invoices before emailng the combined pdf file to customers), and ability to generate Form Fields in exported pdf files based on formulas placed on the report - this means you can use Crystal to design pdf forms, and Visual CUT to generate, burst, and distribute these forms).

A new version (5.5001) of DataLink Viewer has been released (January 12, 2007). Among other things, it adds
compatibility with document management programs such as Documentum and an option to convert double-clicks from regular drill-down action to In-Place Drill-Down action.

A new version (5.5001) of Visual CUT has been released (October 20, 2006). Among other things, it adds the ability to use a database query to control email destinations, print burst interactively, and specify more than 8 parameters via a command line.
- new version (5.4001) of Visual CUT has been released (July 30, 2006). Among other things, it adds the ability to append excel exports to an existing tab, insert file content into the email message body using a text token or a Crystal formula, and schedule report processing when no one is logged in.

A new version (5.4001) of DataLink Viewer has been released. Among other things, it adds the ability to refresh a report without a confirmation dialog, remain on the same page after a refresh, restrict users to the list of reports displayed in the grid,
and embed user input in command line calls from one report to another (DLV_Run).

Visual CUT 5.3001 has been released (June 3, 2006). Enhancement include the ability to send an email alert when a failure occurs, log processing (including bursting detail) to a table in a specified ODBC DSN, and control how many levels of bookmarks are initially expanded in pdf exports

A new version (3.9) of the User Function Libraries (UFL) CUT Light & CUT has been released. It adds 2 new functions:
ExecuteSQLNoReturn() and
ExecuteSQLReturnValue()
that allow you to execute SQL statements against any ODBC data source.

A new version (5.3001) of DataLink Viewer has been released. Among other things, it adds the ability to auto-refresh a report every N seconds, perform in-place drill-downs (video demo), sort the report by clicking on column headers (video demo), and restrict the list of alternative ODBC DSNs during login.
Visual CUT 5.2001 has been released (March 5, 2006). Among other things it adds the ability to: 1) ZIP and password protect multiple files, 2) control email message priorities, 3) convert exported PDF files to image formats (BMP, JPEG, WMF, EMF, EPS, PNG, GIF), and 4) password protect excel files.

A new version (3.8) of the User Function Libraries (UFL) CUT Light & CUT has been released. It adds 3 new functions: InputBox() allows users to annotate (add comments to) Crystal reports. HTMLstring2RTFfile() and HTMLfile2RTFfile() allow you to better display HTML content as RTF.

DataLink Viewer 5.1001 has been released (November 11, 2005). Among other things it adds the ability to schedule report printouts and to export or print reports without first previewing them.

Visual CUT 5.1001 has been released (October 14, 2005). Among other things it provides faster processing of large reports and the ability to: a) embed TEXT exports directly in the email message body, b) specify email attachments using wild cards, c) direct Burst printouts so that each group gets sent to a different printer, d) control which Oracle server is used, and e)
merge formula values into a PDF Form and save/send the result as new PDF files.
